Mario Rivera « Mayito » is a singer-composor born in Piñar del Rio (Cuba) in 1966. He studied percussions and piano. In the beginning of his career, he worked with singer-composer Albita Rodríguez. In 1992, he joined Los Van Van, the most popular group in Cuba.. Thanks to his incredible voice and power of expression, « Mayito » become an idol of the cuban popular scene. Along with his active role in Los Van Van, he participated in the recordings of different albums (with El Zorro for example) and also recorded two albums .
